Fire Safety Warning for Event Hire Florals, Pampas, and Equipment


At Louvell Events, safety is our top priority. When hiring florals, pampas grass, or other decorative equipment for your event, please take note of the following fire safety guidelines:

1. Pampas Grass and Dried Florals: These materials are highly flammable.

Keep them away from open flames, such as candles, lanterns, or fireplaces.

Avoid placement near heat sources, including heaters, lighting fixtures, or electrical equipment.

2. Candle Use: If using candles as part of your décor, we strongly recommend:

Opting for LED or flameless candles to minimise fire risks.

Ensuring all candles are placed in non-flammable holders with appropriate spacing.

3. Event Regulations: Check with your venue for fire safety requirements.

Some venues may prohibit the use of flammable materials or require flame-retardant treatments.

4. Equipment Safety: All equipment provided by Louvell Events has been inspected for safety.

Avoid using unauthorised decorations or attaching items to rented equipment that could increase fire hazards.

5. Emergency Preparedness:

Always ensure fire extinguishers are accessible at your venue.

Assign someone from the event team to monitor candles or potential hazards during the event.
